Read-Only
A two-line epigram on the widest read in software.
Behind the curtain+
The Grok Build CLI disclosure hit hardest because of one clean irony: it uploads the entire repository — every tracked file plus full git history — regardless of what the agent was actually asked to read.
Two lines, no framing prose, in the register of fine print. The whole joke is the gap between the scope of the request and the scope of the take, so the form is an aphorism that turns on the word "read."
You asked it to read one file.
It read the file, the other files, the files you deleted, and every version of every file you ever thought better of — because “read,” in the license, is defined as “copy.”
